Our Family Story
Vaishnav Collections was founded by Siva Sundari Muthukumar from a temple-town of Tamil Nadu — a place where art, music and textile have lived together for a thousand years. She started this brand to preserve and share the timeless beauty of Tamil Nadu's weaving heritage with families who could not visit the looms themselves.
Through carefully curated handwoven cotton and pure cotton-silk sarees, we bring you authentic traditional craftsmanship from the weaving towns we know by name — Chettinad, Salem, Madurai, Kanchipuram, Arani. With our motto "Pure Cotton. Pure Tradition," we focus on quality, elegance and cultural authenticity in every saree we send out.
Her vision is to connect modern women with the comfort, grace and heritage woven into every saree — and to keep alive the looms that make them possible.
From Cotton Plant to Your Wardrobe
Every saree we send has lived eight quiet lives before it reaches you. Here is what those lives look like.
Long-staple cotton from the fields of Tamil Nadu and neighbouring regions.
The fibre is spun, sized and softened before it ever sees the loom.
Colours blended by hand — turmeric, kumkum, indigo, madder, iron.
The warp is mounted thread by thread — sometimes 6,000 of them.
A weaver and the loom, working together for two to seven days per saree.
Our family checks every saree by hand before it leaves the weaving town.
Folded, pressed, wrapped in cotton cloth and tucked into a kraft box.
Tracked across India, with a WhatsApp update at every step.

Meet the Artisans
Our weavers live in the towns whose names you already know — Karaikudi, Salem, Madurai, Arani, Kanchipuram. The skill is passed down from father to son, mother to daughter, the way recipes are. A single cotton saree takes two to three days on the loom. A festive cotton-silk can take a full week.
We don't see them as suppliers. We sit with them, drink the filter coffee, see the children, hear about the harvest. The price we pay them is the price they ask — not the price negotiated down.
The Vaishnav Promise
Little things, done with care — that is how trust is woven, one saree at a time.
From the weaving towns we know by name — Karaikudi, Salem, Madurai, Arani, Kanchipuram.
Every saree handpicked and quality-checked by our family before it leaves us.
A real person on WhatsApp, not a chatbot — we speak Tamil and English.
Safely packed, fully tracked. We stay with you until the saree reaches home.
Tell us the occasion, the colour, the budget — we will pick the right saree for you.
Pure cotton, pure cotton-silk. No shortcuts, no synthetic blends, ever.
Words From Our Family
Real stories from homemakers, working women and families who have made us part of their everyday lives.
"The cotton is so soft and breathable — I wear my Salem saree for the whole day at home and it never feels heavy. It reminds me of the sarees my mother used to wear."
"I asked for a temple-wear saree on WhatsApp and they sent me three options the same evening. The one I chose arrived in three days, beautifully packed. They were honest about everything."
"I have bought sarees from many places online. Vaishnav was the first time someone actually asked what the occasion was. The saree they suggested was perfect."
